1. Who we are
vTether (vtether.com) runs the TRON energy rental and coin swap service. This policy explains which data we keep, why, and for how long.
2. No name, email or phone
You sign up with a token we create for you. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number or identity documents.
3. Data we keep
A hash of your account token and its last 4 characters; a hash of your API key and its last 4 characters; a hash of the IP address used to sign up and a short device description; your balance and its history; your orders (receiving address, amount, price, time, status); your top ups and swaps (method, amount, address, transaction ID); and the messages you send to Support.
4. Why we keep it
To run your account and orders, prevent abuse such as mass sign ups, find and fix payment problems, answer your requests and meet legal duties.
5. Blockchain data
Addresses and transactions on TRON and other blockchains are public by design. We cannot change or remove what is recorded on a blockchain.
6. Cookies
We use a sign-in cookie (vt_s), a language cookie (vt_lang) and a short-lived cookie that shows a new API key once. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Who we share it with
We do not sell data. We share only what is needed with providers that run parts of the service: the energy supplier receives the receiving address and amount, the payment server processes top ups, and our hosting and network provider carries the traffic. We may disclose data when the law requires it.
8. How long we keep it
Account, order, payment and support records are kept while the account exists and as long as needed for accounting, disputes and legal duties. Records that are no longer needed are deleted or made anonymous.
9. Security
Tokens and API keys are stored only as hashes, connections use HTTPS, and administrative access is limited. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your token and API key private.
10. Your choices
You can create a new API key at any time and ask Support to close your account. When an account is closed we remove what we can and keep only what the law requires.
